From the Museum Director - Aeronca 15AC "Sunkist Lady". N1074H. More history has been posted to the Aeronca Museum online archives. In early 1949 Bill Barris and Dick Riedel broke the world flight endurance record that had stood for 10-years, by flying this Sedan 1008 hours without landing. We have recently posted 25 news stories and 6 image gallery photos. Very interesting history, including three failed attempts before succeeding the fourth time.

A few months later another Aeronca "City of Yuma" broke that world record again at 1124 hours, thus relegating the Sunkist Lady to the forgotten history books.

The purpose of our Museum is to preserve Aeronca history like this. We could use help in capturing other Aeronca history. If you like research and writing, please considering volunteering your time to our museum.

Do you like what we are doing? Please share. And support us by joining our museum. We would appreciate your support. See less
